Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 22, 2026
ListMyHomes.com™ is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to people of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, and keyboard-only navigation.
Our commitment
We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We test with automated tools (axe DevTools and Google Lighthouse) together with manual keyboard and screen-reader review, and we address issues as they are identified. As we add new features and content, we re-test against these guidelines.
What we've done
ListMyHomes.com™ has been designed and tested with the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation: We build every interactive element to be reachable and operable using only a keyboard, and we test key flows this way. A "Skip to main content" link appears when you press Tab on any page, allowing keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation.
- Screen reader support: Form fields have associated labels, we provide descriptive alt text for the images we control, and dynamic status messages are announced through ARIA live regions.
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
- Resizable text: Content remains readable and usable when text is enlarged up to 200% in your browser.
- Semantic structure: Headings, landmarks, lists, and form groups use proper HTML semantics so assistive technologies can navigate efficiently.
- Focus indicators: All interactive elements display a visible focus outline when navigated via keyboard.
- Reduced motion respect: We avoid auto-playing video and unnecessary animation. Embedded videos require an explicit click to begin playing.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on ListMyHomes.com™ may not be fully accessible:
- Embedded third-party content: Some property pages embed maps from Google Maps or videos from YouTube and Vimeo. These services control their own user interface and we cannot guarantee their accessibility, though we choose accessible-by-default integration patterns where available (such as click-to-play video).
- MLS-provided images: Listing photos sourced from multiple-listing-service (IDX) feeds arrive without author-supplied descriptions. We generate structured alt text (address and photo position) for these images, but we do not control the descriptive quality of the source material.
- User-submitted content: Property descriptions, listing photos, and inquiry messages are written and uploaded by users of our platform. We encourage sellers to write descriptive text and provide meaningful image content, but we cannot guarantee that every listing meets accessibility best practices.
How we test
ListMyHomes.com™ is regularly tested using a combination of automated tools and manual review:
- Automated audits with Google Lighthouse and axe DevTools
- Manual keyboard-only navigation testing
- Manual screen reader spot-checks
- Color contrast verification at the design system level
Report an accessibility barrier
If you encounter content on ListMyHomes.com™ that is difficult or impossible to use, we want to hear about it. Your feedback helps us improve the site for everyone.
Please email us at accessibility@listmyhomes.com and include:
- The page address (URL) where the issue occurred
- A description of what you were trying to do
- The specific barrier you encountered (for example, a button you couldn't reach with a keyboard, an image without description, or text that was hard to read)
- The assistive technology, browser, and device you were using, if relevant
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and to provide a timeline for any required fixes.
